Away from the tourists on the outskirts of the Sinai Desert in Egypt unfinished hotel complexes can be found. Fraud and bankruptcy are among common reasons the hotels didn’t get finished, but after a series of terrorists bombings in 2005 building completely ceased.

In this project Thymann maps the ‘skeleton hotels’ and consider them as land-art ready made structures, capturing the beauty of the naked concrete planted seemingly at random in the desert.
